Sleep Center
A program of:
More than 25 percent of the population experiences sleep disturbances at some time in their lives. Properly treated sleep disorders improve the quality of life for the patient and their family. Abbott Northwestern's Sleep Center is fully-equipped to offer this type of assistance.
For more than 15 years, the Minneapolis Neuroscience Institute's Sleep Center has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Patients at the center receive comprehensive clinical evaluation and treatment of a variety of sleep disorders including sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
Qualified staff
Our staff includes three board-certified sleep physicians who keep apprised of the latest developments in sleep medicine. These physicians are familiar with and abide by the professional standards and clinical practice parameters of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. They access evidence-based information to help determine accurate testing and treatment plans for their patients.
Registered nurses provide coordination of care for patients seen in our clinics. This helps patients navigate through testing and appointments and ultimately provides them with a more satisfying experience at the center.
Patients who suffer from insomnia and related sleep disorders have access to a clinical psychologist through our Behavioral Sleep Medicine Program.
Sleep Laboratory
Oftentimes during initial evaluation, physicians will determine that patients need additional testing and assessment. Abbott Northwestern's Sleep Center is home to a four-bed sleep laboratory where sleep technicians are supervised by accredited sleep medicine physicians. Learn more about the sleep lab.
